A friend asked me to list 10 albums that changed my life, off the top of my head. I must admit that I am not really an album person and I’m not sure whether any album changed my life, but here are 10 that I definitely rinsed when I got them and still give me chills when I listen to them or take me back to certain memories I hold dear. Most are quite recent, because those are the ones that come to mind atm.
(in no particular order)
Aaliyah – Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number
Rhye – Woman
Active Child – You Are All I See
The Weekend – House of Balloons
Ma$e – Harlem World
Jesse Boykins III – The Beauty Created
Kanye West – My Dark Twisted Fantasy
Melody Gardot – My One And Only Thrill
Alice Russel – To Dust
Andy Stott – Luxury Problems
(Yes this is number 11, but because it is a compilation album, I don’t think it really counts 🙂 Dennis Ferrer – Defected In The House
The tune I’ve selected on the compilation is arguably my favourite on there, but all 3 cds are a must!
